I am having a lot of trouble losing the 15 pounds, my Molina insurance wants me to lose to quality for surgery. I was in a couple car accidents a few years back and suffered a tramatica brain injury.

It was the frontal lobe area. This has to do with plnning. I can't for the life of me plan my meals. On top of that I have a bad knee. I got off the pain pills because I think they were attributing to my weight gain.

So, I was wondering if a diet pill would help me lose the 15 pounds before surgery. I think once I have the sugery, things will be easier.

I know surgery is just a tool, but I really believe they cut out a lot of the grelin hormone out and possibly other hormones as well. I believe that weight issues are very entwined and everybody is different and so many things can snow ball.

Things can go from bad to worse and all of the sudden, your so heavy, you can't move and then you have to ride those electric carts at Walmart. And then, you get so darn depressed, all you want is comfort food and then you beat your self for messing up your diet and then you get depressed, ecetera, etc. And then the way our society looks and treats its over weight population is sad.

Any suggestions anyone has about the diet pill or anything else be would be greatly appriciated.

Thank you. Iam wondering if iam less hungry, I'll eat less. I was thinking of just going to the store and buying pre packaged meals, like lean cuisine. Iam ok planning in the morning, but the rest of the day is hard.

@@northstar9148 Yes, my primary prescribed phentermine and I lost 15 pounds really fast. You can only be on it for 3 weeks at a time, but I've managed to keep off that 15 and then some. A lot of people will discourage you, but trust me, I get it. If it was that easy for me to lose weight, I wouldn't be in this situation to begin with. I am someone who has spent a lot of time in the gym and eat reasonably well, but between genetics, age, and a number of other factors, I put on a lot of weight and it does not want to go away despite my best efforts. Talk to your doctor...they are in a better position to advise you than anyone on this forum is. Good luck!

1 stone =14lb, most people in UK weigh themselves in stones and lbs so for example they might say they are 10st 4lb which is 144lb.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
