I was nearly 5' 11" my entire life, then in 2001 I had a lumbar fusion and suddenly I was 5'10". In June I had a 3 level cervical fusion and now I am 5' 9 3/4"

I mean seriously can I stop shrinking please! Hubby thinks it's funny, I do not. I like my height.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm...

The cuff of my trousers drags on the ground now?

Is that what you were after?

Your butt is smaller and that affects the inseam. (At least it did mine)

So I have always said I was 5'4 ..."on a good day" but I decided I really wanted to know exactly how I am am...or am NOT! Lol

So I had my partner measure me......I'm 5'2 3/4..... not even 5'3...

Lol guess my BMI is a tad higher than I thought....anyone else not sure exactly how tall they are ??

I used to think I was 5'6", but turns out I'm 1/4 inch shy... Not the same, I guess.. But I was so mad when I found out lol

I'm 5'5" in the morning but only 5' 4 1/2 in afternoon. Bizarre but true.

And I, as usual, am opposite. I was 5'6" in my 20's, so that was the height I would give when asked. When my height was checked at my first WLS appointment, I was clearly 5'7". It would seem that my posture has improved over the years.

I was 5'10 and change when I was in high school and in my 20's I injured my back a blew a few discs and shrunk to 5'9 1/2 and at my recent point I was just below 5'9 so apparently between the discs and just being heavy and having had so many kids I've lost over an inch of height. Kind of disappointing, but the good news is that it's easier to find "regular length" clothes instead of talls!

Lol, that's what I was thinking! I'm 4'11" as well, I get any shorter and I'm gonna be missing out on amusement park rides!

That happened to me at my consultation! I've been saying I'm 5'6 for years and found out I'm only 5'4 EVEN????

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
