As of yesterday I am 1 month post op revision from the sleeve to the bypass...... I don't think my body is healing as well as it should be at this point due to me being type 2 diabetic..... I'm having a lot of abdominal pains I'm not sure what's the cause of it but I'm not able to keep food down and I'm pretty much stuck in stage 3 of my diet but for the most part I'm back in stage 1. I've vomited so much lately that I'm afraid to eat anything at first I thought I was eating to fast but that wasn't it, I simply can't eat any food and it's getting harder to get my fluids in now.... I'm really fatigued like all the time and I don't know what to do..... Help ????????????

Hi, I had my by pass May 2015, for 3 months I vomited everything, I was miserable. In Aug. 2015 my surgeon did an Endoscopy and loosened the pouch a little and I've been fine ever since. Might be something to think about. Good Luck!

I'm sorry you're having these issues! Vomiting up most of what you eat is not normal. You may be having trouble healing for multiple reasons... the diabetes can contribute to that but not getting enough calories, Vitamins, and Water can have a really detrimental effect on your healing. Definitely contact your doctor! It is not normal or healthy to be unable to keep your food down.

I feel your pain. I can honestly say I have had three good days since my surgery( March 1). Instead of me progressing to the next stage I am going backwards. I am back to only drinking Protein shakes. No matter what I try to eat I end up feeling like cap. I have gone to the doctor twice and this last time the doctor took a xray while swallowing barium and found out that the tube connected to my pouch is slowly closing. Because of this no matter what I drink or try to eat it gets stuck and slowly goes down then I get sick. UnfortunatelyI have nothing to throw up but lots of saliva. Most of the time I am dry heaving. The doctor will set me up with an out patient procedure to widen the tube.

As your doctor to do a xray. I hope this helps you. Good luck.

The barium swallowing x-ray darnell is speaking of was done on me while still in the hospital before allowing me to go from Clear liquids to just liquids. Took a whole 15 minutes from beginning of test to completion of test.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
