Calling all March bypass surgery dates!

Recommended Posts

I'm from California. Have PCOS and Hypothyridism. I have two children and have been overweight since I was 8. I have always been active and was an athlete but I was always one of the biggest kids in schools. I do like to eat and not always the best foods and have tried most diets out there. I am hoping this works and I am going to give my all.

. I have PCOS and Auto Immune Thyroid disease (diagnosed a year ago after an unexplained 50lb in one year weight gain). Good luck with everything!

I swear it's so frustrating. I have spent the past 6 months jumping through all these hoops and I finally got everything done. Now waiting for a surgery date is excruciating. The office uses a 3rd party to schedule everything and I worry I will fall through the cracks or get pushed back. They say the squeaky wheel gets the grease but I don't want to be a nuisance. Any suggestions??

Home today from the hospital. My surgery was March 7 and went great! I'm not all that sore, but I've had some bad gas pains. It's getting better, though. I'm drinking Water, Powerade Zero, and broths. I have no hunger, which is amazing!

Had my surgery on Feb 29th_9 days out and 18lbs dropped. Feeling great now and just joined a health club. Still eating semi soft foods. Emotions ran high last week, seemed to have calmed since then. Excited to see what the future brings. Don,t annoy the scheduling team, they will get to you. Patience...best of luck

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
