January or February 2016 Sleevers?

Welp, the monthly support forum has not been updated for 2016. I know there's a thread somewhere for December & January sleevers, but thought I'd include you January peeps in honor of the upcoming year. Share your dates, doctor/nut/psych visits, tests, hopes, and whatever else you want to share pertaining to your surgery. Feel free to offer encouragement and cheerleading as warranted. Maybe everyone can link up with some sleeve buddies!

I'll start. I have 100 to 130 pounds to lose (no goal set yet). My sleeve was supposed to be in January. Instead, my husband needs to go out of the country on business in the middle of the month and can't guarantee he'll be back, so I'll probably be sleeved in February. It's frustrating to me because my insurance requires 6 months supervised diet. I finished that the week before Thanksgiving (U.S.) I'm scheduled to attend the final "class" they require all patients to take on Dec. 17. My endoscopy is Jan. 13. I could easily have made it in December, but hubby didn't want me restricted over the Holidays. (I had thyroid surgery with complications last year just before Christmas, so I understand how he feels.) Still, you can imagine my frustration now that my surgery needs to be pushed back again!

Who's next?

*Mods please move this to the appropriate forum when you update the support groups.

@@ssflbelle Day one of liquid pre-op down, 13 to go! The pre-op is not Clear liquids, it is sugar free Jello, SF pudding, cream Soups (no chunks), thinned cream of wheat, broths, decaf coffee or tea, SF popsicles, nonfat milk. But I have to watch how much I eat because I am limited to 800 calories.

@@L.o.v.e Thanks LOVE! Day two is almost done with! Just enjoying a bowl of cream of potato soup that has been whipped to a full cream! Kinda glad to be going thru this right now. The warm soups are a comfort on these frigid days! Couldn't imagine doing them in hot, humid days!

Your right summer heat and adjusting to food and body changes could be challenging. Keep up the good work...

I am February also!! Glad you enjoyed your holidays, even if it wasn't exactly what you were hoping for. I know that waiting is frustrating. I also had to do the 6 months of supervised dieting. I have my pre-op visit on Friday so I'm sure I'll be starting my pre-op diet and all of that! Excited to find other people on a similar schedule to mine!!

Just think you all will be smoking hot this summer

Is it wrong to say I kinda fantasize about this being a real possibility this summer? I want to wear a bathing suit that doesn't have a skirt on it!

Even if I don't reach "smoking hot", I'll settle for medium hot! Still will be quite a difference from the me now! LOL Thanks LOVE! Sesa, I don't think fantasies are bad at all! We want to have a goal in our head of what we want to achieve to help get us there! Fantasize on my friend! :)
