January or February 2016 Sleevers?

Welp, the monthly support forum has not been updated for 2016. I know there's a thread somewhere for December & January sleevers, but thought I'd include you January peeps in honor of the upcoming year. Share your dates, doctor/nut/psych visits, tests, hopes, and whatever else you want to share pertaining to your surgery. Feel free to offer encouragement and cheerleading as warranted. Maybe everyone can link up with some sleeve buddies!

I'll start. I have 100 to 130 pounds to lose (no goal set yet). My sleeve was supposed to be in January. Instead, my husband needs to go out of the country on business in the middle of the month and can't guarantee he'll be back, so I'll probably be sleeved in February. It's frustrating to me because my insurance requires 6 months supervised diet. I finished that the week before Thanksgiving (U.S.) I'm scheduled to attend the final "class" they require all patients to take on Dec. 17. My endoscopy is Jan. 13. I could easily have made it in December, but hubby didn't want me restricted over the Holidays. (I had thyroid surgery with complications last year just before Christmas, so I understand how he feels.) Still, you can imagine my frustration now that my surgery needs to be pushed back again!

Who's next?

*Mods please move this to the appropriate forum when you update the support groups.

My surgery is in 2 days! On the 12th I'm getting nervous not for the sleeve but for the surgery it's self! Would love a surgery buddy too

I hear that!

Hi everybody hope all is well...I'm still waiting on my surgery date. So far I'm bulking up on my protein intake and just staying positive!

Mine is on 27 January. I only decided in November to do this and fortunately for us in Australia we don't have any need to wait, I could have done it earlier but have been overseas since Christmas Day. I'm starting my pre op this week, which is 2 shakes and one meal a day. I'm very excited and looking forward to my new life.

Mine is also scheduled for the 27th!

I am also January 27!

  • My surgeon's office just submitted for the Prior Authorization last week, so as long as it comes back approved, I will be the end of January or early February

I am having mine on 20 January, one week today and I am so nervous. Doing the optifast at the moment. I just can't wait for it to be over, I'm also wondering how recovery will be.

Hello, I'm so nervous too! No preop diet required for me. Let's keep in touch! How old are you and what is your weight if you don't mind sharing info?

I'm waiting the best birthday I could get is a date so we will see Friday ☺️

Hello! My surgery is scheduled for January 18 and I am super excited and nervous!! I am only on day 2 of my pre op diet and it is really rough! Especially the caffeine withdrawal! I am a 35 year old female. 5'5 290lbs! It's time!!?

I'm 36 from New Zealand and 102 kilo how about yourself

I'm 27 from Beirut, 126 kilos.
