Hello,

mine is November 9th! Also scared and happy at the same time. A little nervous because i had to be on the liquid diet for 4 weeks and i've cheated every now and then. Hoping that my surgery will be successful and wont have to reschedule. Any advise on losing extra fat on the liver in a short amount of time?

What is your bmi?

My BMI right now is 47.8 :/

Would love to connect with you! I actually struggled to get my bmi to 35 to be approved for surgery. I had struggled with a bmi of 32-34 for years. I just feel so awful all the time. No diet or woke out routine has worked except for maybe 5 pounds. So frustrating. Right now I'm around 197 and I'm 5'3" tall. I'm 41... We have 5 kids, ages 21,19,16,11,&3. I want to be an healthy and active as possible for our little one. I'm nervous about the lifetime changes but I'm hoping after feeling and looking much better it will be a compromise I don't mind making ????. I live in nc...

My surgeon said since i have a lower bmi i only need the liquid diet for 8 days. I would say this time do your best to stick to it, bc if you cant now most likely you wont be able to aftwr surgery. Best of luck.

I am also low BMI (36 and 5'2") and I understand your struggles. I'm scheduled for the sleeve 11/9 and getting scared but know that this is what I must do. Lord knows I have tried every thing else. Most people look at me and say your not fat! Yes.I.am! I am obese and feel like crap most days. I would love to keep in touch.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
