I'm having issues. Grr. What things help you guys?

This is what I've tried in the last 24 hours:

Stool softeners

Over 64 oz Fluid

Fiber One Bar

pop corn

A few Gummy bears (don't judge, ONLY in hopes that the sugar would dislodge anything, like it would any other time. Lol)

I've also been trying to eat anything high in fiber, yet low in sugar.

And going to my sisters (I swear every time I go there i have to go....except this time, dang it!)

I don't know if you are post op or not but I don't think popcorn is on the list :)

I was extremely constipated on week 3 when I started soft foods - I take Miralax every other day and the day it was bad I was in so much pain I took milk of magenisa - it worked within 30 minutes. Good Luck!!

I took laxatives the other night, omg don't do that. Hurt so bad.

Stick with milk of magnesia. Water, Water, Fiber.

I had a lot of trouble with Constipation early on, but it's improved incredibly since I started eating either a couple of prunes or half an apple (with skin) every day. I used Smooth Tea for awhile, but I found that the results were... unpredictable.

Colace, doculax, Miralax, prunes (fruit or juice), black Beans, psylleum powder, flax powder, tsp of epson salt min 4 ounce of organic grapefruit juice (not concentrate), milk of magnesia, coffee, dark green veg, Smooth Move tea.

With anything consistency is the important factor. A regular dosing of any one of these options may work for you.

Miralax - half a dose everyday or every other day and no extra Iron supplements. the supplement caused a lot of "grief" for me.

Pop corn is the wrong kind of fiber. Don't be afraid of the sugar in the fruit. Think about how much extra weight you carry having all that fecal matter inside of you. I am as regular as rain and I go to the bathroom and weigh half to a whole pound lighter after a BM. A small amount of sugar won't hurt.

I'm 4.5 weeks out, and I have to take milk of magnesia once a week to go. I should probably add a fiber supplement until I can get more veggies in, but I haven't yet. The milk of magnesia works like a charm, with minimal uncomfortableness. I take it before bed, and go when I wake up.

I take Miralax daily & I put Fiber powder into my drinks, food, & etc.. It has no flavor so you won't notice it. You can drink or eat with it. Both of those help me go almost daily.

If you start going too much, back off & do every other day or something.

I had surgery on Sept 16, 2015.

I done went at least 10 times since due to this mixture. It helps.

A dose of MOM always works for me. I usually have to go to that option about 1 time a week since surgery. I also use miralax to keep me "regular", but it doesn't help once I'm already constipated. The ONLY time MOM didn't work was after my TT when I was SO terribly constipated from the pain killers that nothing....I mean NOTHING....worked. But for normal everyday issues, it should work like a charm.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
