I was bigger than you, but have lost steadily. A lot depends on your age too. I am 51. It will add up over time and you'll get there. I lost 100 lbs in my first year and am still losing.

I have almost identical situation. I lost around 90 lbs. with LAP BAND.

Then it was removed, health reasons.

In 5 months I gain 50 lbs. Pre-op I lost 20 lbs. two weeks after bypass I only 10 lbs. My family thinks I lost a lot.

I can go without feeling hungry for a long time. My BMI is 33.1

Maybe I'm not eating enough??? What to do, is this normal, my doctor thinks it's all good, not to worry.

I guess we just loose less weight if we are light :)

My bmi is 31.7 right now, I am 50 and still have my band. Its comming out the end of October but my surgeon wont bypass me at the same time, i need to wait 2 months before hell bypass me so I hope to have a bmi of at least 30 at bypass surgery date. I am positive I will loose quickly, and so excited and scared.

I have a BMI of 38. I thought that would be an issue but my band has slipped down my stomach. He's not calling it a slipped band. I lost 80 pounds with the band, got down to 143 (I'm 5'2"). Was at my lowest for only 2 months. Band was too tight so was unfilled, filled, unfilled, filled then gained, gained and gained more. My surgery date is this Monday, October 5.

I am 9 weeks post op revision from band to RNY. I have lost 36 lbs. My dr says revision loss is different for everyone. I had a horrible band experience last year after having the band for 4 years, with my lowest weight at 79 lbs...yes SEVENTY NINE! I gained over 100 pounds after unbanding over the past year, 60 pounds gained 1 month post unbanding. So my band removal and revision 9 weeks ago had me at a surgery day weight of 211 lbs. current weight 174. Just stick to dr orders all will be fine.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
