All these clothes

So I think I am like most women that have those drawers full of jeans or dresses in the back of the closet that "will someday fit again" with surgery scheduled for Oct 16 I have decided to start organizing by size... What a project!!! But I am so excited to be able to get to those items and be able to box away my stretchy pants!!!

Oh I did the exact same thing. And it wasn't easy, because apparently no two items that have a label suggesting they are the same size are ACTUALLY the same size. It's also a little confusing since it's not my usual organizational system for the closet. ;)

One thing I'm a bit worried about tough is I'm pretty sure I will throw out a lot of the clothes I have. My style has changed so much since I was able to wear them couple years ago. Maybe I'll alter some of them - suddenly learning how to saw seems like the best financial decision I made in my life!

I got rid of all of my summer clothes and it felt good. Knowing that by next summer I will be a lot smaller. I too had several sizes of jeans that will get me through winter into early spring. Looks like I'll just need to buy shirts :) oh I can't wait.

Exactly, I started to pull out the clothes I wore a couple of years ago and they were not anything I would wear again except a couple of pairs of jeans. I decided that once my clothes get to big I am going to immediately give them away.

Sewing would be a huge asset for myself, I have so many dresses that are retro swing or Rockabilly style, some are actual vintage that I can't part with!!! I will have to find a seamstress!!!

Well today I went into a clothing store for the first time in over 10 years and bought clothes off the rack not from a catalog still plus size but not circus size funny thing happened well not really funny not sure what to call it I pulled the highest size I could see 28 went to dressing room thinking I'd never get them on and to my shock and amazement happily so... Too big ha fell down!!! Next size also too big next size fits legs waist still too big though didn't end up buying any jeans as I was concerned about the fit and I'm still losing and need to lose a good bit more and likely won't fit in them soon( never thought I'd be saying that out loud) is it totally stupid to invest in clothes that I'll only wear a short time ? I feel guilty buying stuff with that in the back of my mind I have to get a new winter coat as two of me can fit in it now not even able to wear it and not look rediculous I was totally shocked by how much smaller I look in fitted clothes can fit into an 18/20 top I just got new stuff at end of May and my sister says I look like I'm wearing clown clothes for once she is right I feel so guilty about buying new clothes when I still have weight to lose ...any thoughts?

I did then same!! I have LOTS of clothing that I'll be able to wear as I drop weight. My weight has fluctuated so much in the last 10 years. I sorted by size, and thinned out the stuff I didn't think I'd wear.

Going to find your YouTube! My weight has been so all over the place as well, I will be able to wear a lot of it! I don't want to buy much.

I'm self pay, and when my husband and I were talking about costs, he said one thing to consider was the cost of new clothes. I told him I wouldn't need to go shopping for a while! Lol

I started out in a size 24. I'm in a 20/22 pants....I want to buy clothes, but I'm not letting myself till im in a 16/18.

I have some horribly out dated stuff in my closet, but it feels so good that it actually fits.

Stuff that is too big I either take to the consignment store or donate somewhere from my taxes. The purge is nice!

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
