  3. You might have your lapband too full. I just went through that for 6 days when I finally when back to the doctor and they removed .10 cc of my band; and I feel like a new person. Believe don't wait too long!!!!! But after you do get sick my dr advises to be on liquids the next 8 hours to give your stomach some relief. Good Luck!!!!
  4. Hi.... I just had my second fill today and now am in the green zone total saline in my band is 5 cc.... My surgery date was March 16th this has been the best thing ever!!!! So far I have lost a total of 63 pounds since pre-op. I eat almost the same thing as the person above except my calorie intake is 800.... I have been walking 5 days a week 1.5 miles on my lunch and do Curves 4 nights a week and Zumba 1 day a week. I wish you luck!!!
  5. I was denied the first time with Aetna, first find out why where you denied. I was denied they said I did not satisfy the 3 month weight loss program they want; I was determined to get the surgery so I did the 6 months. My 2nd time the doctor submitted I was approved with 24 hours. Do not give up this is the best thing I could have done, stick with it!!!!
  6. Today is my first fill also, I will let you know how it goes... Excited and nervous at the same time.

  9. I have had my fitbit for about a week and absolutely love it. It calculates how many steps you take in a day, how many flights of stairs you climb, and also calculates the calories that you have eaten. Well worth the purchase, I purchased mine from Amazon and it was alittle cheaper.
  10. Hope everyone is recovering from the surgery. I have a questions on exercise or walking the treadmill. I started walking the treadmill on Monday and don't know if that is currently enough exercise, my surgery was on March 16th. I am walking the treadmill for 30 min at a 1% incline. Anyone have any recommendations? my weight loss this week has not been more than a pound.
  11. Hi can you please send me the shopping list. My surgery is Friday. Thank you
  12. I was approved on February 9th two days after the paperwork was submitted. My surgery is scheduled for March 16th my delay was the dr being booked and having to do the two weeks of liquid diet. Good Luck and Stay positive!!!!
  13. Hello my surgery is March 16th I am excited nervous at the same time. Just started my pre-op diet on Friday and so far it has not been too bad. My pre-op diet is 5 protein shakes a day and than supplement it with broth, jello and popsicles. Good luck everyone looks like we are all about the same time. Look forward to our success.
  14. APPROVED FINALLY......Such a great day !!!!! Now just waiting for the Dr. to look at all my paperwork and schedule surgery... Hoping for the first part of March. So glad I stuck with the process...
  15. Okay everyone keep their fingers crossed for me. I did the 6 month diet and now it was resubmitted to Aetna on Thursday for approval. Everything looks like it should be in order this time I hope. Don't think I can take a 3rd rejection.
  16. I have Aetna ***, they have been buying 100% of my nutritionist every two weeks since July. I have been looking at the setback as something positive. I'm getting to learn more and more about eating properly and reading labels. Hoping Aetna will still pay after the surgery so I can continue with the support!!! Good Luck !
