Welcome! I made my decision to do this one year ago on my birthday July 30, had my surgery in Oct and now 10 months out I am down 110 lbs and feel GREAT! I never thought I would feel so much healthier turning 45, than I did the last 10 years as my weight jus kept going up and up. I hope your journey is even more successful! This is a great place for information, welcome.

I was 300 so I am about 190 now. I only weigh in once a week, so I don't see the ups and downs daily! I really did not have any complications at all and don't refer it at all. ???? I hope it all works out for you with you insurance. I had an exclusion on my insurance, so I was self pay.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
