The call I've been waiting for!

Recommended Posts

I have a surgery date! I'm scheduled for August 3rd. I have felt like I was standing on the edge of anxiety while I have been waiting. As soon as I got the call it was instant nervous... but like nervous on steroids!

Yippee, so exciting to get that date! I remember how nervous and excited I was -- channeled that into walking a little further each day which was great. Let my body know changes were coming and I think I healed so quickly because of that. The mindset is so important -- choosing yourself first and your healthy future.

I'm still waiting for "the call". It's been 31 days since info was sent to the insurance company. How long was it when you finally got the call? What state are you in?

By the way, congrats and good luck!!!

LessOfMe0503 you mentioned you are in NC and have bcbs, i have bcbsnc am wondering how long it takes for approval. Reading your post that would mean around 2 weeks. Hopefully its that quick when we submit all my paperwork.

It only took a few days to get approval. I think they actually scheduled the surgery before getting the approval... but I'm not positive.

I hope yours goes quickly! Where are you having the surgery?

I get banded Aug 5th and I'm so ready. I just starting to learn to navigate the site. Is there away to follow someone or to form a group?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
