  22. I'm so happy for you! This is something I too am looking forward to, indeed the relationship with food is very important and it is a life long journey of re educating yourself out of bad habits and I'm glad to see you are doing an amazing job! Well done ????
  23. My largest incision like the rest I'm reading caused the most pain god it looks awful dry red not attractive I must say out of habit I roll over in my sleep which in the first week is just a right no no, I had my surgery last Friday and spent the first 3 nights sleeping on my god sent blissful sofa which I can literally fall asleep in on demand lol now I can turn to the side and feel ok not so much lay on my tummy but it's progress its taken a good 4-5 days for the gasses to find there way out I can clearly feel the area where my port is "attached" I was walking almost lopsided my left side feels fine it's almost like a weight is stuck to me but now I'm starting to walk and feel fine finally

  25. Ah you'll love Scotland very country lots of places for you to ride that bike and go exploring through all that greenery and cobbled streets! Bag pipes and kilts and awful haggis! Ahahhaa ooh and that strong Scottish go weak at the knees accent! I'm a week and 2 days post op! 18lbs down and feeling fine! Hungry mind but persevering! Start the mushy on Monday I'm here day dreaming of the many things I can't wait to eat!
  26. Hi Stephanie, Well said go walking, I'm a newbie here too and as she has been a support to me on my posts we are all here to support each other! Maddie x
  27. I feel fine, I was clearly panicked tip toeing through the unknown was/ is scary! I was honestly having moments of regret whilst I was there in pain feeling like chest was on fire I admit this was me being crazy I expected to go home and feel somewhat normal yes in pain but not to such the degree I experienced I was totally worse for wear walking lopsided for most a week whilst my port area heals I understand this is the process to say I thought I had a high pain tolerance major problem was experiencing acid reflux after never feeling such a sensation before as I breathed I could feel heartburn drinking nothing but liquids I felt didn't help and over the counter aids I felt dependant on but after the 4-5th day I realised if I ate a thicker liquid it went down a lot better and I never needed the medication now that I'm moving towards mushy foods my body is being a lot nicer to me in the mornings I've zero appetite yes my chest is tight to say I've no restriction yet I'm starving mid morning and a bowl of broth won't tide me over lol Next stage now is my first fill in 3 weeks I've lost almost 18lbs so far Thank you all for your supportive messages being a part of this site really has provided such a huge support reading about all your experiences has defiantly given some fuel for thought and I can't wait to share my weight loss journey when I reach goal xx

  31. Guys I feel awful I've had my surgery 07th I'm home I'm weak I can't even bare to walk I can barely sip more than 5 spoons of broth or shove any liquid down if I'm honest my port area hurts my throats like bubbling my hands over my chest 45% of the day not one to have experienced acid reflux and heartburn but I think this is it and you know what it's an awful sensation please god tell me it will get better right?! I'm trying to walk it off I can feel myself still bloated Im all over the paracetamol and chewing tum settlers Really my body hurts to say I've a band with no fill my doc says id feel some restriction...If this is how I'm feeling now can't imagine when I do have a fill Not a happy bunny
  32. I'm sorry to hear about the breakdown of your relationship, being with someone for so long must be hard Use this as a positive experience and a platform to move on to something better when I got out of my relationship it was so hard he was all I ever known I didn't think I could be with anyone better then my ex when I was ready to date I missed all the signs of someone actually interested in me lol I couldn't even notice that he was checking me out, talking to me every other day because he liked me, helped me, smiled at me things like that I just thought of him as a friend! Everyone thought I was blind because of course they could see it whilst I still had tunnel vision Brush yourself off and and try again I cut my hair, changed my look a little focused on myself restored my love in clothes shoes and boxer-size classes scrubbed off the old me and out came the new and improved version then before I knew it that same ex boyfriend took a second look and it was then I knew I deserved better, And of course I did find better after all there's someone out there for everyone :-)
