Eggs, Glorious Eggs......Oh, how I've missed you!

Recommended Posts

Today is my first day of soft foods.

My post surgery plan included 10 days of Clear liquids, and 10 more of full liquids, and now soft foods! Yay! I was able to eat (very slowly) two eggs. It's like heaven after three weeks of nothing but drinking my day away. :o)

Last night was my high school reunion of 35 years. And today starts the next phase of my new life.

I've never enjoyed two eggs more. LOL

What was/will be your first "chewable" thing?

An egg hopefully will be my first...in another week. I have been on liquids religiously for a total of four and a half weeks now, I am 2 weeks post op. I watch my family eat eggs every morning. I feel like a National Geographic camera man watching. :)

I just fried mine with a little bit of spray margarine. They were delicious!

A scrambled egg with a sprinkle of shredded cheese was my first "real" food, too. And it was so effing good! Of course, almost two weeks later, I'm getting really sick of scrambled eggs for Breakfast every day. ;)

I had a one egg "omelet". One egg with a pinch of 2% cheese and a tbsp. of chopped deli turkey. Could only eat half but it was amazing!

I am still pre-op, but my list says that I can have soft boiled and poached, but not scrambled eggs when I get to that stage. :(

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
