June 30th Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

I also have pain in my head that goes from the neck up but I'm thinking that might be from the way my head was positioned during surgery. I feel like w complete mess. Haha. But I know there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

That could definitely be how your head was placed during surgery but also could be caused by dehydration or just not enough rest. The light isn't very far away. You've got this! Just sip & rest and call your doc if anything gets worse or doesn't change after a couple of days.

Just had surgery on the 30th... everytime I seem to lay down I get headaches... I am also a side sleeper and since my surgery I have slept on my back in bed propped up a little bit but it has my lower back killing me. I wished I had a recliner like I did for my csections. Also is it normal to have all this rumbling in the stomach while drinking, taking medicine, and just anytime. My stomach has been doing that constantly. I have also been so gassy and letting the farts go and occasional burps but it stills continues. Any help would be appreciated

I just had mine on the 30th too and experiencing the exact same things you are. Are your headaches better if you sleep in an upright position? I'm going to try that tonight. Yes I also have all the rumbling and sharp little pangs when I am sipping anything.

I don't have a headache at all when standing up... but once I lay down its terrible my head feels like it's gonna burst in a million pieces... finally able to do #2 today and my gas is a little better. I still have all the rumbling in my stomach and it feels so weird. I got one Premier Protein shake down and drinking grape juice. I'm gonna work on my next Protein Shake here in a little bit. I have 4 kids and I have had alot of help. I can't wait to be 100% to do all my motherly, wifely duties.

Ok. So I'm not sure what just happened but it's like a switch was flipped to "on" in my intestines. "Everything" is back up and running properly and suddenly I can sip without burping and even get in two ounces within 20 minutes without having to stop for the acid to go down. I am one happy sleever right now!

Even managed to catch up on office work from home, edit some photos from the wedding I photographed for a client last week and do some laundry. Now I'm really tired, full and functioning well. Gonna take a well deserved nap.

Hope all of you are having a good day.

Can we do miso Soup? Liquid only of course.

I am pretty sure it's safe as long as it's not too thick. Water it down a bit if it's more cloudy than clear. Miso is basically a mushroom broth so I'm pretty sure it's safe to eat in the clear liquid stage. I thought of getting myself some for this evening.

Two 8 ounce Protein Shakes, 8 ounce chicken Protein, a SF Popsicle, 8 ounces H2O by 3 pm! A lot of gas bubbles, but they passed quickly. That's 77 grams of protein but only 450 calories.

I did one shake today. I really can't do another. I added some Greek yogurt to some butternut squash Soup but I am still short on Protein today.

I actually find the list of what I need to take in a bit overwhelming so I am just gettong as close as I can. I do feel a lot better now than I did this morning and am grateful for that. I think taking my Vitamins helped a lot.

I did one shake today. I really can't do another. I added some Greek yogurt to some butternut squash Soup but I am still short on Protein today.

I only got in 2 oz of strawberry low fat yogurt, 2 oz of G2, 2oz of broth with a quarter scoop of protein and 6oz of Water. Not even close to the recommended daily protein or Fluid intake. Don't know how I'm gonna do this. I don't wanna eat or drink at all. Never thought I'd hate the idea of food and drink so much. I don't even know how to tell if I'm full cuz I constantly feel full and I'm force feeding myself. Thought I was doing good this morning until I realized how little I consumed. Hope tomorrow is better.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
