Miralax...it's non habit forming and mixes in cold or warm beverages. At the beginning I used it about 3 times a week to keep things moving along.

I had the same issue, but I don't like to take a laxative or stool softener. I bought dried apricots, figs, and prunes. Two days later after making a Protein shake with them twice, I was back to being regular.

Now I eat a few of them every other day or so. All natural and my surgeon said it was a great idea.

Fiber gummies help some, too. Also, are you taking the stool softeners when you feel like you need them, or every day? I had to start taking them as part of my daily routine.

I'm paranoid about poop issues - took too long to fix them, and gave myself a fissure. Unimaginably painful. If you can't get it straight on your own soon, please don't hesitate to see the doc. I'd go through any embarrassment in the world to avoid that pain again!

At first i was taking miralax every couple of days and that was ok. Once i started eating more the miralax was not doing anything so a switched to Sena S. I take two pills almost every night before bed and i have been great since starting this. I worry about becoming dependent on it, but i would rather have to take this for the rest of my life then have the pein i was in before i was taking it.

If you need a quick relief shot try 8-10 ounces of Magnesium Citrate and get rid of that pain and toxic feeling... Make sure your home for the results!! After that every few days of Mirolax works wonders ..... I learned all of this the hard way ????

Good, you might want to try prunes later on. I eat a couple of prunes every morning and it keeps me going.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
