Would u suggest taking Miralax with my liquid intake just 3-4 days post op? Or should i wait longer to see if I can go? Im having bad stomach cramps and wondering if this adds to the pain im feeling. But i dont wanna take miralax if it's not safe so early on. Any advice is appreciated :)

I also use "Smooth Move Tea". Best stuff on the planet. Just make yourself a cup of tea at night you'll be good to go in the AM. Love the stuff!

Google bowl aid recipes. Look for one that has you hydrate dried fruit in senna tea then puree. You'll be amazed!

I've had two awful bouts with this since surgery 6-23. I found that Miralax doesn't work unless you take it daily. If you're in a bad spot right now and need to make something happen, try a 10.5 ounce bottle of magnesium citrate. My husband introduced me to it and now I swear by it. I had a second bout after becoming less cautious and I did the magnesium citrate (sipping it along with another 8 ounces of water) along with three Dulcolax tabs. Yes, I felt even more bloated and awful for a while but it got better and within about 3 hours, it worked. Now, I'm taking two Dulcolax tabs each day and trying to drink a few sips of magnesium citrate every other day. I prefer to do that than go through what I went through before.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
