I also use "Smooth Move Tea". Best stuff on the planet. Just make yourself a cup of tea at night you'll be good to go in the AM. Love the stuff!

Miralax...it's non habit forming and mixes in cold or warm beverages. At the beginning I used it about 3 times a week to keep things moving along.

Yes

Welcome to the WLS universe, also known as 'Constipation Nation' :)

I had the same issue, but I don't like to take a laxative or stool softener. I bought dried apricots, figs, and prunes. Two days later after making a Protein shake with them twice, I was back to being regular.

Now I eat a few of them every other day or so. All natural and my surgeon said it was a great idea.

Fiber gummies help some, too. Also, are you taking the stool softeners when you feel like you need them, or every day? I had to start taking them as part of my daily routine.

I'm paranoid about poop issues - took too long to fix them, and gave myself a fissure. Unimaginably painful. If you can't get it straight on your own soon, please don't hesitate to see the doc. I'd go through any embarrassment in the world to avoid that pain again!

At first i was taking miralax every couple of days and that was ok. Once i started eating more the miralax was not doing anything so a switched to Sena S. I take two pills almost every night before bed and i have been great since starting this. I worry about becoming dependent on it, but i would rather have to take this for the rest of my life then have the pein i was in before i was taking it.

Miralax is the first thing I drink every morning in my first bottle of Water, without fail. I had constipation twice since surgery. I never want it ever again....EVER!

If you need a quick relief shot try 8-10 ounces of Magnesium Citrate and get rid of that pain and toxic feeling... Make sure your home for the results!! After that every few days of Mirolax works wonders ..... I learned all of this the hard way ????

I took pericolace to help me. Normally worked in a few hours sometimes the next morning. Once I was on unrestrictive food I didn't have any more constipation problems

Good, you might want to try prunes later on. I eat a couple of prunes every morning and it keeps me going.

Would u suggest taking miralax with my liquid intake just 3-4 days post op? Or should i wait longer to see if I can go? Im having bad stomach cramps and wondering if this adds to the pain im feeling. But i dont wanna take miralax if it's not safe so early on. Any advice is appreciated :)
