Hello I'm new!

  • Popular Post

I'm new to this site. Going to get sleeved on 6/15/2015. My story in a nut shell... I went from bikini model babe to eating my way to doubling my weight over the past 20 years. I am an expert diet pro. I have gained/lossed 80%/40% of my body weight respectively. I have done this more than I can count. My husband of 10 years met me as I was hitting a low weight 152. We've been married 10 years and I have ballooned up to 227. He has never treated me any different. I fought the deadliest form of breast cancer and so far 5.5 years out and I'm still alive. Now I really want to live!! But not at the fat, unhealthy weight I'm at now. I don't want to do anything or go anywhere and I hate the mirrors. So after considering this for 8 years now The Lord is blessing me with this opportunity. I don't know how to fill out profile. I hope to get to know some great people who can share this journey with me!????

I'm not even planning to weigh myself until my follow up visit with my surgeon next week. I figure that with my body recovering from surgery and all the IV fluids they pumped into me, my weight is going to be all over the place.

Wow. Good luck with that!

@@JamieLogical thank you so much :) you are absolutely right everyday is something different..question for you did you stop losing weight for a few days?..I've been the same weight for 3 days! I know I'm probably just overreacting I did lose 17 pounds in less than 2 weeks lol

It's pretty normal to have short stalls (or even long ones) in the first couple of weeks as your body adjusts. I lost a lot of weight in my first week of my pre-op diet, then hardly any the second week. Then post-op, I lost a pound a day the first week, then hardly any the second and third weeks. It was frustrating at the time, but in the grand scheme of things, my weight was trending downward and I'm only 10 pounds from goal now. It's important to be patient, follow the plan, and just let your body handle things the way it needs to. It will adjust and adapt as you go along.

I am soooo excited. I just talked to United Healthcare and I got my approval!!!! They are just waiting on the surgery date from my surgeon. I feel like a weight has been lifted, I have been so stressed this week waiting. Woohoo!

@@JamieLogical thank you for the encouraging words..I really appreciate it :) and I lost another 2 pounds today yay
