Sleeved 5/19 in Baton Rouge and have no complaints. Went out to eat tonight for the first time. My husband ate boiled crawfish and I ordered a grilled chicken breast topped with grilled onions and mushrooms. As good as it was, I was only able to eat about 1/4 of it and I was full and satisfied. Didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. Blessed to have such a smooth journey thus far!!! Happy Weekend everyone!!!

I can't wait for that. Keep telling friends that pretty soon I can enjoy an evening out. Been to a couple of parties and did fine. I was afraid to try onions, now I will.

Hi! I was sleeved on 5/6 had some serious set backs along the way (allergy to meds put me back into the hospital & internal suture popped) so I was out of commission for the first 2 weeks. Here it is 6/2 and I'm 15lbs down. I've had a stall over the past week but I'm hoping that passes. I meet with the surgeon on Thursday and I'm hoping he clears me for more exercise besides walking.

5/6 233

6/2 218

How did you know your internal suture popped?

Hi May sleeves. I had my surgery on May 26th. I have not been on the scale in a week but at my two weeks post op I was down 14.7 lbs. I will weigh again tomorrow. Hopefully it is down a few more. I am getting back to working out today, just cardio. food is a challenge for me because I don't know what I like puréed. I just tried turkey meatballs from Trader Joes which are pretty good. I like having the whipped Greek yogurt with Protein Powder still! Good Protein source. I have my one month appointment next Friday so I hope to be down at least 20lbs by then! Keep it up everyone, it will happen before you know it!

This is my first post.

Surgery was 5/11

I've lost 42 lbs total (25 since surgery)

I am struggling big time! I've had severe nausea. GERD has improved.

At 5 weeks out I should be eating mushies by now, but everytime I try a puree or mushie I end up vomiting it backup- Just in the past five days I've gotten sick each day. My pouch cannot handle much capacity wise. I can only drink one 8-oz of Protein shake a day (2oz at a time). I think I have thrush which makes everything taste terrible, including Water. I am weak, tired and frustrated...I know I need to get more Protein in but I cannot take in anymore!!!

Hi,

I was Sleeved on May 4th. I have lost 51 pounds so far, it is June 16th. My energy is picking up a lot now that I have been gettting in my Protein and eating real food. Turkey is my friend!!!

I was a bit sad and depressed during the liquid and pureed food stage but now I am better mentally. I have been having trouble with gas and havng bowel movements. My doctor suggested I take a Dulcolax every night so I don't get constipated by the Protein I am taking in. This has helped a lot. I still feel sad sometimes and miss some of the foods I use to enjoy but hey...no food can replace the feeling of excitement knowing I hit my first goal of 50 pounds. I have 4 50 pound goals I want to hit...1 done...3 to go. Good Luck and blessings everyone!

Protein got really really hard for me too, i had to buy the unflavored one and just add it to things, like my yogurt, that helps a lot! now i can get it all in without having to fill myself to the gills!

Hello! I was sleeved May 26 as well. So far I am feeling amazing. I haven't had any issues and can tolerate everything I have tried so far. I am down 25 lbs since pre op shakes. I haven't lost much this last week but I think that might be due to trying to get enough Protein. I'm staying positive though because this is still the best I have felt in a long time

Hi there, I was sleeved 5/21 and am doing pretty well. I'm learning that fro-yo and tuna cause immediate trips to the bathroom and that I need to really really work hard to eat over 70g of Protein a day now and drink enough Water. I do love my results so far and can't wait to see where I am 4 wks from now!

Beginning weight : 250lbs

Day of Surgery: 231 lbs

Current weight: 214 lbs

Hello May sleevers - my surgery was May 4th. I did 10 liquid diet before and lost 10 lb. The first few weeks I was very low energy, hungry, couldn't eat much. I lost about 10 more lb then my weight loss stalled. I actually gained a few days. I was hungry and tired. I called the NUT she was not much help- more Water, more Protein. I don't think any of it made a difference Finally everything clicked back into grear - just as everyone said it would.

I am down 29 lbs total and loosing about a half to 1 lb everyday. I am seldom hungry and can't only eat a small amount and I am satisfied. Anotherwords - Perfect!

I can't say enough good things about costo's primiere Protein shakes. Not because they taste good (they don't) but 40 grams of Protein and it really stays with you. I still use one Protein shake and 1 Isopure to get in most of my protein.

I am feeling good and very pleased with my progress.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
