Don't panic. Everyone is different. we all heal differently and at different rates. Remember you have layers there. With several suture lines. Also it is tender because they pulled your stomach out of there and so that is why it hurts more.

Just be careful to not over do it until it completely heals. I know this takes patients but you are not a lone. All sleevers just about had tenderness with the largest incision. :)

8 days is not really very long. With my lap band surgery it hurt for about a month or maybe even 6 weeks.

None of my incisions hurt after surgery and I was surprised when I found out which one my stomach was taken out of. That one healed the fastest and you can hardly see the scar.

I had adhesions or scar tissue type things that grew and pulled. Lower right area was pretty bad. Had I done some twists and turns I likely could have knocked em loose and saved myself 6 weeks of unpredictable sharp pains. I thought it was normal but it was a result of c-sections, and hysterectomy surgeries and the way my body reacted to more in body invasions.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
