How Much did you loose on your two week pre surgery diet?

Am almost half way through and was wondering just how much everyone else has lost?

I only lost 2 lbs on the liquid diet! I can't believe it, but it's true. I know taking 2 oral diabetes meds and 2 different kinds of insulin doesn't help, but I was quite surprised. I stuck to that diet, completely.

I have been on it for 9 days and have lost 5 pounds, 4 more days to go.

@ - I start my liquid diet Thursday (I only have to do 1 week for some reason). Did you lower your metformin during the liquid diet and/or have any low blood sugar moments? Sort of concerned about that.

10lbs

2 pounds

I'm on day 7 of 15...and down 14.5lbs since starting pre-op liquid diet.

About 8, but I had my cheats.

I am down 15 and only have one and 1/2 more days to go

@@Daisee68 Hi, No, I didn't lower my metformin. My Dr. had me stop my Glipizide before I started the liquid diet, and I had low readings, but not too low that I got sick.

Two days after surgery I stopped needing my short acting insulin (Humalog), Metformin and Glipizide. The only thing I take now, after surgery, is 50 units of Lantus. I suspect that will go down too, as I'm getting readings in the morning in the high 80's now!!! It's like I don't have diabetes anymore. Trust me, I came from having readings in the 400's and 300's often! I am amazed.
