It's been a long time in posting anything. Had my by pass 6/21/15, the by pass itself was successful, but ran into problems. My colon was stapled and I ended up in the hospital for 21 days. Now,6 months away and I feel terrific. I ended up with snowstorms bag for 4 months as my colon healed. Total of 36 days in the hospital from 3 different surgerys. Would I do it again, yes in a minute. I've had surgery to remove the bag and retook up my insides and feel wonderful. Am inFlorida now recoooperating. I walk 3 - 5 miles a day and have no regrets!

Just got my call and will be having surgery June 2. I will be 66. It has been a long 11 months, but my time is here. Will be calling nut this afternoon to make an appointment for all my directions.

Just wondering if there was anyone from Greensboro or the surounding area?

Am almost half way through and was wondering just how much everyone else has lost?

Am on day three of my two week pre surgery diet. I am so excited about the future.

Am heading to nut tomorrow at 8:30 for my pre op visit. I will be given all my instructions to gt ready for surgery, My husband is going with me as he wants to know what I'll be able to do and not do.

My surgery date is June 2, have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am

Just got that important call, my date is June 2. Have to be at the hospital at 5:30. I am so ready. Just have to call nut to make appoint for pre surgery directions.

Will get my date on my My May 13th appointment

Received my approval last Monday. Have an appointment with Dr on May 13 to finalize everything and get a surgery date. Almost a year in time, but will be so worth it.

I went to my visit with the nutritionist today. Was very informative and wa able to skip some stuff because I was a band patient. All went well and will have to call her as soon as I get a date. Then we will set up a program and get going. Next week the shrink!!

I have Medicare & Tricare for life and have been told that Medicare gets back fast. Don't know about Tricare for life. Medicare should cover about 80% and hopefully Tricare will cover the balance

I have decided to delay my surgery till April. I have a busy winter and am going on a cruise the end of March, so after a lot of thought, I am delaying. The nurse told me to call her when I'm ready and she will submit my paperwork. She said its only good for a 30 day approval. This way I will be able to give my full attention to me.

Just had my final supervised weight loss visit with my primary. Now is waiting for the surgeon to send in the paper work and wait for an answer. Will that day ever come?\

I go Thursday for my 7th visit with my primary. Then the paper work is sent in. I have checked and they have everything except my last visit, which is Thursday. Am starting to get excited. Everyone keep your fingers and toes crossed.

So glad there is someone else who is around my age. I will be 66 in October and hoping for a November date. I will have my 6 mnths of supervised visits done around the 5 of Nov, and have all my other visits done. This will be a band removal and a RNY done at the same time. I am so glad to hear from others.
