Patiently waiting

So I got my letter of approval from my insurance. I wanted to know if there are any Tricare prime folks out there? My referral was submitted 12/26/14 and the approval was 12/31/14. How's long did it take your surgeon to get back to you?

I think evry surgeon is different. With the holidays a lot of folks were off. I would follow up with the office tmmw if they have not called you.

I knew before they did that I was approved. Because I called my insurance every day. They don't.

I have Medicare & Tricare for life and have been told that Medicare gets back fast. Don't know about Tricare for life. Medicare should cover about 80% and hopefully Tricare will cover the balance

I have tricare prime and I looked up my approval on line. I knew my surgery date by the date of admission on the approval form.

Waiting patiently......,there is no such thing. Waiting stressfully is more like it, it hate that feeling!

I called the insurance company today and found out I was approved, so I immediately sent an email to my surgeons to let them know they should be receiving a hard copy of the approval in the next few days. I may come across as a possible control freak, but I am trying to be as proactive as possible to be the best possible advocate for myself as a patient.

Best of luck.

My date of surgery is different than admit date on the tricare website. I was approved with admit date of January 12 but I just got an actual date yesterday for February 2nd.

I've gotten approval from insurance but I still need pass cardiac and vascular. Then I'll get a surgery date. Hopefully it'll be in a couple weeks.
