Hello everyone,

I recently ran across a Pintrest:WLS link that took me to a blog that referred to BariatricPal and I've not been able to stop reading since.  I'm in the last few weeks of my behavioral modification counseling and will not have a date until completed.

BariatricPal has been a great resource of information.  My biggest worry was trying to figure out what to do when I would get to the pureed phase of post-op, there are so many interesting ideas I may try out a few before hand just for practice.

Although I am morbidly obese, my goal is to improve my GERD.  I researched the Roux-en-Y surgery in 1999 and was told by my insurance company then and again now that this is no a covered procedure, so my appointments with the Bariatric Nutritionist and Psychologist were paid out of pocket.  As of January 1st my insurance company will change and I know that this service will be covered, I am hyped!!  Finally a light at the end of the tunnel!  :D

Talk to you all soon,
Tam
