What do I bring to the hospital?
Yowzer, good luck. I also have surgery tomorrow at 10. Make sure you have your charger and maybe an extension cord just in case the plug is not close. Good luck, see you on the losers bench

Caffeine withdrawal!
Did you try Tylenol for the headache, that is allowed with my pre-op diet. I went to half caf about 2 months ago so my withdrawal wasn't so bad.good luck.

Hiatal Hernia = Chest Pain?
I also have a hiatal hernia. But my biggest complaint was the acid reflux, I have been on meds for 10 years for GERD. had the upper endoscopy last week found the large hernia which will be repaired during my surgery next week. Please mention to your Dr about your concern, you may need an endoscopy to determine if that is what it is so it can be repaired during your surgery. This way the Dr will know what is there and will have your consent. Good luck.

Syntrax Nectar- LOVING IT!
I have the strawberry kiwi and fuzzy navel. I love it in my blender bottle with skim milk. It mixes very well. I tried it with water and ice in the nitro bullet and it was aT to foamy for my taste.

giving yourself injections to prevent blood clots after surgery
I was nervous as well. Glad I saw this post. I went to a clinic to see how to do it but still wasn't sure I could do it. I picked my shots up from the pharmacy last week and felt intimidated. We got this, those that have to do this . Good luck to everyone.

Feeling disappointed and unsure
I had my sight on the sleeve, had done all the research and preparation for the sleeve but when I met with the surgeon he highly recommended the bypass because of my long history of acid reflux and my hiatus hernia. If the sleeve does not give you the results you want you can always have a revision, for me I only want to do this once so I am having the bypass next week with the repair of the hernia. Good luck, the decision is yours to make. Talk to the surgeon himself and see what he recommends.

EGD questions.
I had my scope last week and my surgery is next week. It was simple no problems at all they did find a medium hiatus hernia. Good news is that the Dr will repair that during the surgery. I am pretty stinkin excited that I may be off of my acid reflux meds forever. Good luck to you

THANK YOU , what an awesome list. I have read the tips before, but never wrote them down, thought I could rely on my memory. I see now that my memory would have failed me. My surgery is Dec 12, so this information certainly is helpful. THANK you again.
