December 17th surgery. Anyone else?

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum. Had a lap band for 5 years now with less than good success. Has been football player. 6 feet, 320 lbs, was a high of 350 at one time. Nervous about the surgery but my knees and blood pressure need it.

Starting full blown pre-op diet on Decmber 2nd or 3rd. I'vre been slowly working my way towards it now though with transitioning to Protein drinks and cutting down on my caffeine. I can't go cold turkey on caffeine. Too many headaches.

Just waiting on insurance to finalize everything. That is the biggest pain in the but. Let's all keep in touch.

Have a good day

My surgery is scheduled for December 18th.

I just got the call from my surgeon's office and the insurance approved it! I am soo relieved and thankful. I start my pre-op diet on December 10th!! Waiting for the insurance has been agonizing. Have you guys felt the same way?

I just started the pre-op diet this morning! I feel like this is going to be a long week ahead. For those of you who already started, how is it coming along?
