Hello Folks I underwent VSG in Dec 2014. I was an epileptic up until college days and have been seizure free (25 years) and medication free (12 years). Exactly a year and half post surgery, the seizure has come back. My surgeon says he is not aware of such incidents. Does anyone have aveidene to link bariatric to a recurrence of epileptic seizures? Ive been trying to find out the triggers that cause the seizure and a lot of research (google) points to hypoglycaemia and stress. Would be great if someone can help me. I am a long distance cyclist and would also like to know how long do I have to be seizure free to get back on the saddle. I did get back to driving a month after the seizure, since we do not have specific rules on that in India. I can be reached at jeevez@gmail.com also.

I'm getting sleeved on Dec 17th and the total surgery expense including three day hospital stay would cost me approx 3500 USD. Unfortunately. we do not have insurance for bariatric in India.

trd, my surgery date is also around 17th.. to be finalised in a week's time!! going for the pre-op tests soon!
