VSG and Epilepsy

Hello Folks

I underwent VSG in Dec 2014.

I was an epileptic up until college days and have been seizure free (25 years) and medication free (12 years).

Exactly a year and half post surgery, the seizure has come back. My surgeon says he is not aware of such incidents. Does anyone have aveidene to link bariatric to a recurrence of epileptic seizures?

Ive been trying to find out the triggers that cause the seizure and a lot of research (google) points to hypoglycaemia and stress.

Would be great if someone can help me. I am a long distance cyclist and would also like to know how long do I have to be seizure free to get back on the saddle. I did get back to driving a month after the seizure, since we do not have specific rules on that in India.

I can be reached at jeevez@gmail.com also.
