  1. Tomorrow is my first visit with the nutritionist. Was wondering any ideas what we will be doing and talking about?
  2. I got a band in 2005. I though it was for me and didn't want to have RNY surgery. Well, I went to my Dr on June 5 and asked two questions. 1. Am I too old (65) (no) 2. can I get a revision. He said yes. This time around I feel like I will have more time to put my full effort into it. As I was working last time. Am starteing to get excited, had an ultra sound on gallbladder, chest exray, ekg, and upper gi last thursday. No surprises.
  3. Yesterday I went and had an ultrasound on my gallbladder, ekg, chest xray, and upper gi. Was told I have a hernia & gerd, I already knew that. Have had them for years. So I am on my way. The stuff you drink has greatly improved and wasn't half bad. Next week its the nutrictionist and the following week, the shrink.

  5. I have been told that soda will be a no no, that won't bother me, but someone recently said that coffee will also be off limits. Is it true?
  6. I have Tri care for life and they will cover the 20% that medicare doesn't. Just starting the process and have my fingers crossed that I pass all the other test, Also, I am 65.
  7. I have medicare & tri care for life. I hae an appointment tomorrow for a chest xray, gallbladder ultrasound, upper GI, EKG. I don't have to have a manogram because I'm not due one. Next week its the nutritionist.... Not sure how that will go, or how many visits. The week after its with the shrink. I sure hope its all worth it. I have a lap band and they will remove it and to the bypass.
  8. Every day I think about what I am doing. I do have a positive view and know about it through reading. I now have the time to do what is needed, not like the lap band while I was working. Hopefully all will go well and will be waiting for a call from my Dr.
