Recovery..... do you really need someone the first few weeks?
Hi I had a bypass 7/28. I live alone. Had no complications. For the first couple of days a friend would stop by to see if I needed anything (the company was nice) But that was it. I was very very weak but managed. As long as you don't have any complications, you should be fine.

Taste horrible
Three weeks out and protein drinks are starting to make me nauseous. I made it with milk today instead of water and it didn't stay down. Maybe that's what did it.

when do you start losing weight
Had bypass 7/28. Weight is very slow to come off. Have only lost 8#. Shouldn't it be more?

One week out and don't have any strength. Went out today to Dr follow-up. Brought protein drink with me but I still felt like crap when I was brought home . Had to sleep. Anyone else still dragging around?

Its here!
So glad your home. Take your pain pills and keep yourself comfortable. It's bound to get better from here on.
