  1. I am 6 months out and if I haven't eaten all day, can eat an entire lean cuisine. But I don't. I can't get more than 1200 calories in on a good day. For sure follow up with your surgeon as others have said.

    IUDs

Has anyone had an IUD placed after surgery? I was thinking about getting one. How is the pain?

    Alfredo sauce?

    I like Classico light Alfredo.

    IUDs

From what I understand you're more fertile due to your body releasing stored estrogen. I don't think we can take oral contraceptives because we process everything much faster and don't absorb as much.
  5. Does anyone use any kind of pre or post workout supplements? If so, what kind?

    Eating too much...

Does anyone feel like they eat too much at times? I swear at dinner I ate what felt like the equivalent of half a cow, but at lunch I had about 4 bites of chicken and was full. I feel like I'm struggling with portion sizes. Anyone have any advice?

    Herbalife? Optimum nutrition?

I'm exploring new options...I get bored so fast!
  10. Has anyone tried it? I know that there are only 9 grams of Protein per serving but I mix my Protein shakes with milk (I prefer powder as opposed to ready to drink) to get more protein in. Alternatively, I was considering Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard whey. I like the idea of Herbalife having Vitamins and minerals in it though. Every bit helps! Any feedback? I am 5 months post op and find I still need a Protein shake a day. I usually do it for Breakfast because I can take it on the go.

    Pen pals

Anyone interested in being email pen pals? For added support and stuff. Maybe once comfortable we could exchange addresses and send each other little goodie boxes!
  14. Hi all, For the past few days I have been having some pain on my left side. It goes from sharp and stabby to crampy and then nothing. It got really bad today at work (to the point I was hunched over in pain) but it did go away after a few minutes. I thought at first it may be gas, but I am passing gas and have been having bowel movements. Any suggestions of what this might be or how to feel better? If it continues I plan on going to urgent care. I scheduled an appointment with my doc (but it's not until next week) anyway. I am about 4.5 months out from RNY.

    Abdominal pain

I called the nurse on call for the surgeon and she told me it could be anything and to follow up with my PCP. Soooo, we shall see what happens.

    Abdominal pain

Yes, I do! I will look at the symptoms, I always thought my gallbladder was on the other side. Great suggestion though.

    Stupid peanuts!

Could it have been the fat? I don't do nuts because they are too high in fat for me.
  22. hellohealthy

    Good fats?

If I have too much fat I dump. In small amounts I can tolerate avocado though. Also coconut and olive oil.
  23. Slept fine in my bed but I had my head and feet elevated.
