I'm 5'4" and weighed 198 at time of surgery. I wouldn't change a thing. The only thing is my weight loss is slower than others that I know that were heavier than I was. I'm 7 weeks out and am down to 177, which is great to me! Good luck!

Thank you. How long ago did you have surgery and what kind did you do?

Did you ever think 20 pounds I could have done this without such drastic measures?

Thank you for this question.. I am close to these numbers but keep saying I haven't done it for all these years on my own so what makes me think I can do it now?? Just get apt of people saying I don't think you need to something so drastic..

I agree -- I haven't done it all these years... The only time I ever did this drastic of a diet I did HCG for 3 weeks. I lost 20 pounds, but whoops all went back on but 5 pounds. I couldn't live on that for ever.

I did go to the gym for almost 4 months - I hate to exercise, not a single pound lost -- not one... just pissed me off and I gave up. I was deligent with that.

SO NOW WHAT - I need to "fish or cut bait"

.

I was 192 one week before surgery. Surgery on 6/17/14 and 5'5".

Today 133. Reached goal at 9 months of 138 and still losing. No exercise yet.

Have not been this weight in over 15 years. Could not have done this on my own this low and never maintained.

Ask me anything ... I don't mind.

Thank you SO much ladies.... It is great to read your successes.... I am waiting for insurance and then a surgery date..... I go from scared to excited to thinking I've lost my mind..... The month after with mostly liquids is a little frightening but Ive been eating less and following some of the BUT recommendations to get ready.... I have a new job so older have a week of sick leave so will need to walk a lot so I can return to work after a week... What is your best tip for success?

I am 5'8" starting weight was 211. I just had it done 4 days ago and down to 205- spent most of my life in the gym and eating relatively well, with Portion Control issues. Looking forward to losing the weight for sure!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
