Loss of husband's support? :(

I am so sorry to hear about what you have been through and you are going through. There is no way in hell he should be saying this stuff to you whatsoever. You are correct he is showing his own insecurities but that does not make it okay. Just like I felt like my husband's comment was totally out of line.

My husband and I have been to counseling many times in part to work on our communication. No, I am not going to sweep this under the rug because it bothers me and therefore I need to talk to him about it. Do not let him bring you down, you have worked so hard to make yourself healthier. As tough as it may be, do not let him sabotage it.

Wow, les filles. My heart goes out to both of you. I don't have any advice. Just sending good energy and support from the field.

I think sometimes my husband is jealous that I have an awesome goal I'm working towards. Most of the time life just plods on and we all want something to go after. Also, he might be afraid you'll be all fine and sexy after and he won't be up to par. I know my husband has struggled with his weight but he doesn't qualify and now I'm gonna be the one in good shape...I think it hurts his ego. He still supports me but I wouldn't be surprised if he said something like that eventually.

Just wait till he sees the "After" effects....his attitude should change and you'll be the one in control.

Could he be scared that something could happen to you during the surgery or maybe insecure that you may want to leave him for another man after you lose the excess weight?

Speak to him and find out why, the open dialogue will help both of you express your concerns.

He is probably still supportive, maybe at that little moment in the heat of an argument, his mouth was running at 8,000RPM but his brain wasn't in gear.

My wife was never very supportive, she might say a few things on Facebook, but I go by people's actions and words expressed to me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
