Today is "overweight" day!

Recommended Posts

I just realized this morning that i have dropped under the "obese" range on the height and weight charts and am now only "overweight"! I never thought I'd be so happy to be considered overweight. ????

What an amazing thing a sleeve and 4 months can do!

Thanks! Hang in there, it's normal to have nerves before surgery. Try to remember that you made the decision when you were thinking straight and for the right reasons. In a few short months you will have a new life and you will have forgotten about all the nears, fear, and second guessing.

The physical part is easy, the head part a little harder, but if you are prepared, it's not that tough either.

I highly recommend this book which you can download. It really helped me be prepared mentally for the feelings and emotions that come about after surgery. When it's not a surprise, I've found that it's MUCH easier to cope.

TheEmotional First Aid Kit: A Practical Guide To Life After Bariatric Surgery.

Best of luck on your surgery! Let us know how you are doing.

Me too. It's a happy day today. Obese is such an ugly word. Cheers to us!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
