  2. Cindyt that is exactly what I was afraid of! This is obviously darker. We take pictures and do my measurements every 4 weeks and it is blatantly visible in all of them. Not that everyone is going to be seeing my belly on a regular basis but we are going on a cruise for hubbies birthday/my college graduation this winter. I sure hope it's gone by then! I want to (gasp) wear a bikini!
  3. I am sorry yours are dark but glad to hear I am not alone. The rest of mine are perfectly fine but this one is still dark. I wasn't really WORRIED about it I just hope it goes away and being 4 1/2 months out I was beginning to fear it wouldn't.
  4. I am 4 1/2 months post op and I still have a dark spot on my skin at one of the surgical sites. I had a HORRIBLE bruise there for a few weeks after surgery. This is similar in color/appearance to a bruise which is healing but if that were the case it shouldn't still be here this long after! Does anyone else have this? What is it?

  11. I am thrilled beyond measure! As of yesterday's weigh in I am no longer obese! I never thought I would be so happy to be "overweight" in my entire life! But I have been obese for ATLEAST the past 10 years. We get so used to how we look/feel we can almost forget how it was before. Two weeks ago we lost my mil to ovarian cancer (btw KNOW THE SYMPTOMS) at the family gathering after the funeral last week a family member I have never met cornered me and said the nicest thing. She said "I was looking at your wedding pictures downstairs (I was larger when I got married) and you were beautiful." (At this point I'm wondering what is coming) Then she says "I mean you WERE beautiful then but now.........now you are so much MORE beautiful." It was such a wonderful compliment and really brightened my mood on a very sad day. Now to continue on until I am a "normal" weight!!!
  12. I'm on there! I'm horrible about logging my food but I keep track of my weight religiously. Is there a way to document a PAST weight? I gained since I joined but didn't log my highest so it doesn't show all I have lost....... ANYWHO my screen name is Almcneel feel free to add me accountability is awesome!

  15. Thank you guys! Once I got over the initial freak out I was ok. I probably grazed more than I should have but over all it was WAY better than I would have done in the past, so I am proud of myself. And I will get up tomorrow morning, shake this day off and get on with it!
  16. Lol I haven't done as badly as I thought I would. I have allowed myself to have a bit of everything I want. So while I have not been the best, I refuse to look at it as "being bad." I don't flat deny myself any food because if I do I will binge later. I have a little bit and then move on!
  17. The problem is it is all sitting right here in front of me.. Aargh. Idk why I am like this today when I have had no problem with temptation until now.
  18. I have been sooooo good at avoiding temptation. Today we are celebrating a coworker buying his first house and another coworkers last day due to promotion. I am afraid I am going to gain 5 lbs today only!!! I actually WANT to eat the day away. HELP!!!!!
  19. I am also having a hard time with protein. I am 13 weeks post op. My sleeve can't tolerate the protein shakes, protein bars, powder and Isopure have a funny whang in the taste which makes me ill. I'm really struggling with this. I know I am not getting anywhere near the 60 gr but I just can't figure out what to do. We have spent a fortune on all of these products which I can't tolerate

  21. That's awesome!!! You have much to be proud of!
  22. I set my goal at one week but wound up taking two. I was just so tired And my body needed the extra week to recover. Good luck to you!
  23. I am 12 weeks post op. My adult daughter and her fiancé came for a visit this weekend. We had a great time on Sunday visiting local wineries and a distillery of course tasting was involved. My question is since then every time I eat I get a bit nauseous and uncomfortable. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I be concerned?
  24. Babbs you give me hope then! I have NEVER EVER EVER been a runner. At 44 years old I feared I was too old. Time to lace up the shoes and get going!
