Surgery 4/22/15, lost 33 lbs so far.

1/3 of my desired weight loss. It's starting to own down a bit. Hopefully this stall will end so I can now start the typical weight loss pattern.

Looks like we are on the same track.

I was hoping for more but hopefully when I start working out it will go faster.

I'm half way through my 5 th week and finally hit my stall. I'm not complaining, I was waiting for it. However I'm still not getting my Protein in, I'm really trying, but the most I can eat is 2 to 3 bites and I'm full. Is anyone else experiencing this?

It depends on what I'm eating. If I make it something moist & take baby bits I can eat more.

@@MichelleTN, I am a bit disappointed that I am only averaging 5lbs per week, but am thrilled to be losing 5lbs a week at the same time. I feel as though I have gone through and am going through too much to have made this surgery worthwhile at this point. I am 34 days post-op and have not felt well one single day. I wake up each morning hoping to feel well and to feel this major life change was worth it. It isn't today, but maybe tomorrow. Until then, I am at least down 5 lbs a week!

Finally broke a stall I was in. Got up this morning & down 3 more lbs. Starting the gym next week, hopefully that helps.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

First gym day today. 11 mins on treadmill, 2 miles on bike & then the eliptical kicked my butt. I lasted 3 mins. Lol

Had my 6 week checkup. Never thought I'd hear a Dr. or anyone say I needed to add more calories to my day. :-)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
