So I just got home from my lap band surgery with True results in Houston! I had a nerve block done so I'm actually okay today but I fear tomorrow lol. I have my heating pad and gas x strips. Anything else that I should have for the next few days? I can send my fiancé out lol. I am so excited! I am starting at 210.6 and I'm 5ft tall also I'm 19 years old and have PCOS. Can't wait until that weight starts dropping off:)!

Congratulations !!! Walk. Walk. Walk. And for shoulder pain ask him to karate chop your neck and shoulders a few times a day.

Yes to the walking! It will help release the gas pumped in to your abdominal cavity for the surgery -- Gas-X etc. is for gas inside the stomach. Windmill arms, etc. -- keep moving. I loved my Popsicles during this time, and savory broths, tea. And watching all the movies I wanted, lol. Around day four or five I had to address severe Constipation, even though I didn't take any pain medication. Wish I had been ahead of that. Best wishes for this brand new chapter in your life -- happy for you!

I went through true results also and had my surgery on 3/19/15. Dr. Reilly did that and a hiatal hernia repair. I'm not in as much pain as I was the first few days. I am healing well even though I had more cuts than I thought I would(5).

I have a question for you guys. Since the surgery I have had a bloody nose. It's not like actually bleeding but I feel like I have to blow it and all that comes out is blood and clotted blood. Did you guys have the same thing? Also I've been coughing up phlegm:( I'm not too sore so it hasn't been that bad but I'm still worried about getting sick. I've been using the breathing device yet it still happens.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
