Yep, every time it beeps, it also vibrates as well, so the hearing impaired will not have any trouble using this device. :o

Kareyquilts...you are SUCH an inspiration to me! I read your other thread about your upcoming plastic surgery! I am SO hoping that in 2009 I am where you are this year! I would love to hear about it and how you feel about it when it's done! I live in WY and I have heard there are some great plastic surgeons in Salt Lake. Sounds like you found one!!! Congrats!!!! Can you imagine what it will be like to be so smoking and so skinny???? YOU ROCK!!!

LivingtheDream: Wow! To be a man and burn all those calories! I use the ellipitical for 30 minutes a day, weight train with a trainer for 1 hour, 3x a week and do pilates 2x a week for an hour. On a good day, when I am very busy I burn 2500 calories and that is including the exercise on a Sunday when I don't exercise and do attend church, I burn 1800. If I didn't watch what I eat and exercise, I would have a hard time losing any weight. I hope you know how lucky you are! If you follow the program you've got it made in the shade!

Thanks Kary, the first week I used it I thought it was broken. What really confused me was that the minute I put it on it had a large calorie number on the watch right off the bat. For example, 1800 calories burned after 20 minutes of wearing it. I found out later it estimated work load up to that point for the day or that is what the support folks told me. I still didn't believe her but after running a few calculators that just estimate based on weight and height it was pretty close. The main reason that i didn't believe it was because I thought there was no way that i was eating 4000+ calories in a single day but I sure was doing that and gaining weight.

rharriet: I'm really excited about the upcoming PS too, but also very nervous! When you get closer PM me and I'll give you some suggestions for plastic surgeons.

Livingthedream: That's the great thing about the body bugg, we finally are able to get the information that we needed all a long. Now if we can discipline ourselves and use the info to our advantage. That is a whole other subject! I love my BB. I don't like their food reporting side, but I'm trying to use it and be more careful about my measurements. My weight loss has really slowed down and I want to make sure it's not that I'm under reporting calories consumed. I talked with one of the head guys from Apex, he came to my gym and gave a presentation. He told me my body has been through a lot and it may be tired of losing weight (even though officially Apex says there is no such thing as a plateau!). He told me to give myself a month off and then get ready to fight like hell to lose the last 20. That's what I did and I started back 2 weeks ago to measuring, etc. Averaging a 950 calorie defiect daily, I have only lost 1.5 pounds in 2 weeks. According to them, I should have lost 4. GRRR! I guess I'll take what I can get. I'm also building muscle, according to my trainer, which weighs more than fat. All I know is that I'm down 1 pant size and looking better, so upward and onward into battle, I go!

I just got mine working last night. What does it mean if just randomly buzzes?

I'm thinking I need to buy the watch, though, because I can't check it at work and it's too late when I get home everynight.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
