Bodybugg users report here!

Recommended Posts

Hi, well, I've been reading the bodybugg reports and finally got one after not being able to lose a pound after 6 weeks. I was banded on February 13, 2007. At that time, I weighed 271.4. Six weeks ago, I weighed in at 246 and went back up to 249 due to fat loss/muscle gain. (Not complaining there) that is where I stayed until now. I wasn't depressed since I thought I was doing everything right. I was eating less and excercising more. Well, at least that is what I thought until I got the bodybugg. Pudin' was a big inspiration for that one. I've had the BB for 3 days now and I finally broke through the plateu. I'm right back to 246 with more fat loss and muscle gain. It's so exciting.

I guess I needed lapband and armband. I'm just banded everywhere. LOL!! It really is motivating to see where you are at with the numbers. Even though I was exercising my butt off, it still wasn't enough and now, I know how much more I have to exercise through the day. It's fun to see the scale going down again. Finally!!!

Anyways, I think we should log our stats for the bodybugg on here. It's really fun!!

So far, 3lb weight loss on the bodybugg/lapband from June 4-7. YEAH!!!

ok... I just bought one off another LBT'r. I figured what they hell... what is another $180 when I already spent 10K on the surgery. My goal is to run a 5K in September and I hope the Bugg will help me get there.

I haven't a clue what you are all talking about! Can someone fill me in on what the body bug is? Sounds interesting!:rolleyes2: This is my first time at this sight. I found out about this site from the barix site. I was just told that my insurance will pay for surgery, and I am ready!!! I was at the clinic about 2 yrs ago,and with my insurance I had to go for 1yr, and a bunch of other stuff, and then they would make their decision. Thank God for computers, cause Barix called me and told me things have changed with my insurance company, and now I can have the surgery!!! I gave up a long time ago. But I have to start the process over again, without all the other insurance crap. Can someone fill me in on the Body Bug? Please! Along with any other information you can give me. Hungry to know more!

LOL! I google EVERYTHING! I honestly don't know what I ever did before google.

And the link that I posted in my last post to this thread has been posted in this thread umpteen times. I copied/pasted it from a previous post.

On a side note: I bought the biggest loser dvd, did the warm-up, the intense cardio workout, and the core strengthening, and then the stretching, and only logged 250 or so cals burned. So only about half of what another person logged. I'm so disappointed. I worked my ass off, too, I wasn't slacking off....although I did notice that I got up to a 12 calorie/minute burn going a couple of times during the workout, and previously, I've only been able to get 9 cals/minute MAX no mater what I did. So I think I'll keep doing it, because it was a great workout.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
