Just wondering how long after surgery can the sex be had? Did your sex drive change?

Had it the first week after surgery, though it caused pain, as wounds were not healed, but, during my weight loss prior to surgery my drive was high and same thing afterwards, had the better of me. It then dropped after about 2 weeks, cntrary to what most people here said. It then rocketed again after about 6 weeks.

Whenever the thought of someone putting pressure of your stomach doesn't make you want to punch them in the face.....Yep that's when.

I think it was about 5 days post-op for me? Of course, I had my surgery in Mexico and my husband didn't travel with me, so I wasn't even home until the night of the 4th day post-op, so it wasn't really an option before that!

Two weeks. Once I had lost enough weight to get relief on my joints and neuropathies did I see an increase in drive. Getting rid of Lyrica, blood pressure meds, anti-depressants, and hydrocone help me have more feeling and less fogginess. All is good.

I was 2 weeks out, but only because my husband was scared he'd hurt me. I would have been good at a week out, maybe sooner. Remember the missionary position isn't the only way to have sex. He doesn't have to get close to your incisions at all. Make sure it's comfortable for you. I'm sure he won't care!!!

My libido hasn't changed at all, so far! People are all different! Don't sweat it!!!

Two weeks out...just choose a comfortable position & encourage your partner to do all the work :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
