  2. I am five years post op too. I took vitamins only for first year. I have checked my levels every 6 months or so and they are normal. I do take vitamins but not regularly. Haven’t had gallstones but I guess it because I did not loose that much.

  4. I am 5 years out now, the first few weeks it was explosive diarrhea and then constipation that lasted for year or so but went away after that. For me, the issue was after the period of diarrhea when I really had to hold myself, I developed high sphincter tone and was unable to relax. Had to constantly take laxatives to keep a soft consistency. Over passage of time, tone returned to normal and have no issues now.

  12. Flares will be treated more or less the same way. Just make sure you are in remission at time of surgery. Some people claim that surgery can “unmask” Lupus and hence might flare Lupus, but, such instances are so rare that IMO that’s just a chance. Needless to say that you will keep your Rheumatologist on board.
  13. It’s been a little more than 5 years that I had sleeve. I started at 225 lbs and went to a minimum of 145lbs. Then had some weight gain and peaked around 163lbs at 2 years mark. Since then I have been vigilant and last three years been 155Lbs with a couple of pounds variation.
  14. Absolutely amazing Jamie, you are phenomenal.

  17. I am 5,7 and surgeryy 220lbs. I do have a lot of excess skin as you can see in first pic, but when i am standing, it does not seem that much (second pic).
  18. " You were not big enough to need surgery" "Dont loose too much" "How much can you eat now" "Do you feel weak" "You look old" And the most annoying "I liked the way you looked before surgery"
  19. I now do not recognise the person in my old photos.
  20. I now consistently wear small in all sorts of shirts.
  21. Bump I am still loosing, though I can and am eating a lot more than first three months. It kind of makes me worried both ways, fear of gaining weight and of keep lossing.

  23. Yesterday I forgot to bring my lunch to work, thought I would skip it, but felt too hungry and ate a muffin for the first time after surgery, after 1-2 hours started to feel dizzy and shaky. Wonder if it is dumping, I did not have any symptoms before, though this is the first time I ate something that full of sugar.
  24. I now see wrinkles and folds on my face. I am happy nonetheless for being fit and feeling younger, even if does not show on my face. Botox and fillers are not my thing.
