I would think it's open to anyone. They don't check to see if we are patients or members. Sometimes they pass around a sheet to sign in but I've never seen anyone look at it!

Hi all! I am in Lakewood (Ocean County) NJ and I started out at Atlanticare with Dr. O but when SOCH opened their doors I switched and so glad I did. Dr. Reich and his office staff are so great! I had my surgery June 12th and am going for my first fill this Thursday 7/23. Little nervous but glad it's time. Good Luck everyone!

How did you like Dr Manigat? I met with him yesterday. I start nutritional classes tomorrow - that FEE is killer though!!! can you tell me more about his program?

Depending on where you're at determines if I'm north, central or south Jersey - Lawrenceville/Princeton area. The fee is worth every penny, nickel, dime and dollar!

Best of luck to you.

I am thrilled with my LB!

Has anybody had their fills done at University of Penn (Philly) and how did you make you? Any charge with BC PPO insurance?

Im from South Jersey, Mays Landing and I live right around the corner from Atlanticare Life Center where Dr. O's office is. I LOVE DR. O and his whole staff. I was banded 3/2 and I am doing great sadly their support group is only once a month, and I would like to get into something else. I will go there tonight but blah! No regrets and I recommend Dr. O for ANYONE who is in Sj and wants to get the band.

Sorry, just saw your post today. There's a support group in Camden County at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees. It's actually held in the fitness center building there. The name of the program who runs it is New Beginnings. I hope this helps! Good luck! :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
