  1. congrats!! i cant wait till ive lost that much! i kinda know what you mean im only 6 months post op and ive only lost 45lbs, i dunno if that is good or not. im sill not making the best food choices, and im a midnight snack sneaker, but ive been cutting back. if your vomiting from pureed Soup your band might be too tight? not sure, just seems odd. i havent vomited yet, hope that doesnt happen. i only have 7.5mls of Fluid in my band though. as for the addicion thing, i have no idea. i just want to stop thinking about food. its sick. i used to eat till i couldnt even taste it anymore. ugh. well good luck and congrats, be proud of yourself!
  2. ok thankx. yea before i had the band i couldnt even eat that much.
  3. you're welcome! good luck!
  4. food scale <------ link for store i so recommend this. this week its on sale at best buy (at least in my area). its easy to use. good luck!
  5. dont beat yourself up! you're gonna cheat here and there. we are human. we are addicted to food or we wouldnt be doing this. just dont be maxing out credit cards at mcdonalds and you'll be fine. lol. this will make you feel better... the night before my surgery i had my favorite dinner... steak with mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. you'll live! just stay positive. its hard i know. good luck love.
  6. ive only lost 10lbs since surgery(about 3 weeks ago). so that upsets me. im on meds also. depakote and pristiq. im bi-polar so i DEFINITELY know what you mean about roller coaster and it affecting your life. i dont have much advice for the weight loss cause im still trying to figure my own out. but with the moods. try and keep a mood diary with you, like what days you felt what. i had to do that for awhile. its annoying but it helped. take it to your doctor and see what they say. also i cant take birth control because it makes me go insane (more then i already am) haha. sorry im not too good with advice. good luck though! im here if you need to vent.
  7. can we do WW with the band?
  8. thank you alot. yea i have a 64oz h2o bottle with me at all times. i swear it keeps filling with water when i drink it. lol
  9. its fun doing that. but if you dont have an idea on how to do make-up maybe try going to the mall and having one of those girls do it for you. like at macy's or something. JUST DONT BUY THE HUNDREDS of dollars of make-up they want you too. lol. also im sure there are websites that show you how to apply make-up and stuff. good luck!
  10. i know what you mean. and the USUAL reply is. "oh you're taking the easy way out" easy my ass. you need help getting off the toilet, you cant wash yourself in the shower, it hurts to sneeze. you're doing this for you and no one else! just think of that! and just think, when you're at your goal weight, you'll look better then they do
  11. im reading all these horror stories on here about how some people havent lost weight. this is scaring me. i read that one doctors article, im just hoping this doesnt happen to me. ill be devastated. i havent had my first fill yet. i was banded on 1/3/11. my only issues are im having trouble drinking enough water and i still want to eat. ive lost 10lbs. i hope it starts melting off soon.
  12. i just recently quit smoking too. i was banded 1/3/11.... its hard. another person on here told me that before we get our first fill its usually hell. i was at the doctors the other day and a guy in there said he gained weight before his 1st fill. i wouldnt be alarmed. good luck!
