They're very high in carbs. I'm making a low carb version of them I found on Pinterest.

They are actually quite low in carbs... 15 of the 21g carbs listed on the label is Fiber, which is awesome for those of us with Constipation and one of the big reasons I finally broke down and started eating them. They only have 1g of sugar.

S'mores ! Love it! I can't recommend the chips though. They tasted so awful, I threw like 5 bags away. They were so bad that I didn't even try to give them to someone else.

Did you notice the stall after you started eating the Quest bars? Protein Bars can cause stalls in some people.

@@fit4life123 They are addictive little things aren't they!! They have been a staple in my diet since month 2! I order them by the boxes and my favorites are chocolate chip cookie dough and cookie n cream! I eat them in place of meals and at 2 bucks a pop I don't think that's too expensive for a meal..I have yet to have any stalls 4 months out and a lot of days I end up eating two.

@@Elode I LOVE the Cookies and cream! @@Chele H I am currently in a stall but I added in the Quest bars as a way to make sure that I was getting in all my Protein. I haven't been on the scale yet, I'm trying not to weigh everyday because I feel sad about the stall right now. (And I just moved so I can't even find it, lol)

I might start buying by the box because my father, who is diabetic(Type 2), likes them too. I'm trying to show him that healthy food doesn't have to be bad! Quest Bars are his "candy bar."

I am not ashamed to admit that I am completely addicted to the chocolate chip cookie dough. I have two a day (one for Breakfast and one as my evening snack). I do want to point out, though, that the Fiber used in these is what I refer to as "fake fiber" or "stealth fiber". It's not the kind of fiber you usually think of when you are thinking about the good stuff that cleans you our and keeps you regular. It only qualifies as "dietary fiber" under the FDA guidelines because it is not fully digested by the body and therefor much of it "passes through" unmetabolized. Here's a decent article on stealth fiber. It doesn't specifically list isomalto-oligosaccharides, but it's the same general idea:

I've seriously contemplating replacing all of my meals with them. :P

Cookies n cream here.....Been eating them for over a year. I usually order 3- 6 boxes at a time. Tried almost every flavor, but settled on c'n'c. Lil tidbit......microwave 'em for about 8-10 seconds (careful not too much or they will melt into a glob) and they are even better. ;)

Interesting read. Thanks for posting. Fortunately I don't experience any of the symptoms from eating these stealth fibers. So although it's not giving me the expected fiber benefits, anything that tastes that good yet passes through without contributing to weight gain gets a thumbs up from me! And after having C. diff, anything that contributes to the health of my good colon flora Is especially welcome. Makes me love em even more.

I have several favorites, but Mixed berry Bliss is #1. I've only recently started eating Quest bars, so I'm being very vigilante to see if they cause food cravings, weight increase or stall.

If you haven't jumped on this offer, you should... 2 free Quest Bars. All they need is your mailing address and email. Here's the link. ----> http://www.questnutrition.com/freesample

Oh I completely agree! Thus my daily consumption of them! I am lucky to not have any of the gas or bloating the way some people experience. Maybe it's like gluten.... some people have real issues with it and some people are completely fine with it? I also have been SUPER lucky in that I have had zero issues with Constipation post-op. I am completely regular and don't have to take any fiber supplements or laxatives at all.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
