Luvin_Life125 got a reaction from LAG4ahealthierme in Marijuana and Life after Bariatric Surgery
Very interesting topic! I have been fighting chronic pain for over 15 years and take a large amount of narcotics. I am very open to trying medicinal marijuana, but my state does not yet have the legislation in place for legal consumption. I am one of those people who won't even try marijuana if it isn't legal because somehow I would get caught or screw something up. I have researched the medical marijuana and I am hoping it will become a treatment option I can try. The narcotic medications I have used in the past and the ones I currently use have a wide array of side effects and have a sever negative impact on my quality of life and don't take the majority of my pain away.
Thank you all for sharing your experiences and opinions. I know it is a controversial subject, but to each his own. I love hearing everyone's experiences and perspectives.

Hey there everyone! My name is Kelsey, I'm 20 years old. I had my sleeve down at 19 yrs old on November 18. I'll be 6 months out TOMORROW and almost 90lbs down from surgery! From about a size 26, down to a size 16. 10 sizes dropped! From size 3xl shirts to size L. I started at 300lbs, and as of this morning, I am 211! Best decision of my life, even at a young age! I would go back and do it all over again in a heartbeat.

@@toohot74akaelh2 The weight came off quickly but honestly very gradually- I would have weeks where I would lose nothing then randomly lose 6lbs but most of the time it was 2-3lbs weekly which is about what you're supposed to lose anyway regularly. I do work out a lot now (I didn't work out a lot during the losing phase though). I have sooo much energy to burn. I have an update pic I took with my doc on 5/5/15. He was amazed. He's so awesome. The before pic was day 2 postop on 10/9/13.
