????A shout to the February sleevers ????

Recommended Posts

I'm 4 days post op. I feel much better today. Pain was the worst on day 3. It's been really hard getting Protein and fluids in. I feel like I'm sipping constantly and I still can't meet goals. I've also had diarrhea since I got home from the hospital. I'm a little worried about that. But...I've lost 9 pounds! ????

I'm a February sleever but I had mine February of 2014. You all have the same concerns I had. My surgeon only required I follow the pre-op diet the day before surgery. I'm 5'5" tall and my starting weight was 243. I'm currently 154 and hope to lose another 20 pounds. It's so worth it.

I had the sleeve 2.11.15. I'm surprised how ok this liquid diet has been. I'm trying to focus on getting my 64 Oz in which just seems impossible. Sipping is so hard to adjust to, but I pay the price when I take in gulp. 12 lbs down in 7 days, I'm pretty excited! Ready for an exciting future.

I was sleeved one week ago today. It's been harder than I thought it would be. It's impossible to get in the 64oz of fluids. I feel like I will be drowning if I take another sip. I'm down 13 lbs so I'm very happy about my progress. Any recommendations for unflavored Protein Powder that dissolve easily? I'm not having much luck. Everything I've used clumps up. Icky!!!

I feel your pain Sleeve Seeker. I had my surgery This past Monday. I feel like I need to sip every minute of my entire day and I also feel like my stomach is full of water! I did go to GNC and get protein Water already made. They don't taste bad just get old. I have no desire for Jello or broth.

I was sleeved yesterday morning in Tijuana. I'm currently in the recovery room. My initial weight was 226. And when they weighed me yesterday before my sleeve, I weighed in at 210. So pretty much, in the 10 day pre op liquid diet, I lost 16 pounds. I was in a lot of pain yesterday and was constantly gagging. Today, there's been no more gagging and very little pain! I can walked around with ease. My mouth and throat has been super dry since I woke up from the surgery yesterday, but finally, they have me some ice chips. And boy I could never have been so thankful!

Ps: as they were pushing me out of surgery room into my recovery room, I noticed a lady sitting in the lobby of the "obesity goodbye center" today. I was wondering of any of you lovely ladies on here in that lady?? I came to Tijuana by myself so I'm just looking for some company.

Hi thick2thin, mine was on the 18th, my mouth is extremely dry, but the ice chips help.

Where did you have yours?? And yes, ice chips are a huge help! I was just told that I can start having Gatorade and sips of Water starting tomorrow.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
