  1. I hope you have a great surgery experience. By tonight we will begin a new journey. I wish you nothing but success!
  2. Well I'm on my way to the hospital and was grabbing some last minute advice and encouragement! I'm excited, scared and all the other emotions! I'm going to try to make this my experience and not forecast how good or bad I will do after. Taking all words of advice...

  10. I begin on Friday. My Dr is only having me so do 2 days of soft diet and two days of clear liquid.
  11. Can anyone tell me how to start my own original question for others to give advice to?
  12. I also am in need of my medications. I take Wellbutren and cannot be without it. It is not crushable nor does it come in liquid. I'm very concerned about how these medications can be taken after my sleeve surgery????

  15. That is awesomely funny! I'm so glad you are a friend that can laugh that off. Some are to quick to get offended or read wrong motives into a situation.
  16. I am so glad to read this because my Dr is only having me do 2 days if sift diet and 2 days of clear liquid. After reading some have to do 3 weeks I was a bit worried.????
  17. My Doc said the same thing. In fact she said she almost cringes when some opt for the band because she has done so many revisions.
  18. I had my band emptied 4 weeks ago but have decided to get a sleeve instead of going through the band process again. Mine prolapsed after I had the flu and was throwing up severely. Sleeving on 2-24-15.
  19. She was 41 years old and it was ruled by the coroner to be a vitamin B deficiency that caused her heart attack. So this was not an opinion, it was a fact.
  20. I have had a band for 2 years and lost weight as expected. Unfortunately for me.. I had a prolapse. I got the flu so bad and was throwing up so hard my band prolapsed. I am opting for the sleeve and will have it on 2-24-15. The only reason I'm not doing full bypass is that my husbands first wife died after her surgery. ( before anyone jumps on a band wagon, let me say her death could have been prevented. She was not going for her Vitamin B shots. This caused here to have a deficiency, which in turn lead to a massive heart attack) she had reached her goal and my guess is that she thought she was doing okay.. Just goes to show how important follow up visits are. Anyway, needless to say my husband is scared to death for me to have surgery.. However, I'm scared not to as obesity is a killer within itself. Good luck to you and I will share my revision experience when I can. ????
  21. I was banded in May-2013.. I lost 45 lbs and my bad prolapsed. I talked to my Dr about having the sleeve and she was all for it. From the time we decided to do it until my surgery will be 1 month. Three weeks was getting the insurance to reply. My surgery will be 2-24-15. I hope all goes well and will let you know how the revision goes. ????
