:( Have to start over

Has anyone gotten the band, stretched out their pouch, and had to start again? That is where I am, can the doctor's office take out all the solution and start the band tightening process again?

the only way to know exactly where you stand is a upper gi. call your doctor office and get a appointment. it might not be as you think it is.

Few years ago there was pouch test people would do. And then simply start back. I will see if I can find info on it. I somewhat remember. So I did what I could when I started over recently. No one on this earth abused a band worse than me and I now have good restriction.

you can google it, it's 5 day pouch test. good luck I hope you get back on track.

I had my band emptied 4 weeks ago but have decided to get a sleeve instead of going through the band process again. Mine prolapsed after I had the flu and was throwing up severely. Sleeving on 2-24-15.

Thank you all for your responses.

Gail - when you emptied your bad back in 2013 did you have any problems after you did it? Is there a chance of slippage?

I've had no problems since having it emptied......I checked to see if I should get that checked but was advised no need as I've not had any problems......I did have lots of problems & discomfort before I had it emptied but I now realise it was completely my fault I wasn't eating properly & that was causing the problems......fingers crossed this time I'll be more patient and work with the band as the tool its intended to be ????????
